31 Day Yoga Challenge :)

Hi << Test First Name >>,
How are you?
Welcome to the new year!

This message is the first of 4 weekly messages to encourage and support you in your practice.

Several years ago I started a YouTube channel with the intension of sharing yoga, mantras and meditation with people like you!
I kicked things off by creating The Morning Ten - A 31 Day Yoga Challenge where we practice 10 mins of yoga a day for an entire month. I have loved seeing the beauty that can arise when we share our gifts and practice together.

This year I share with you an updated version of The Morning Ten- included in this are some new videos and also occasional mantra and meditation videos as a reminder that yoga is much more than just a physical practice (although the physical benefits are indeed amazing!).

Bonus Practices:

If you wish you can expand your practice by adding either of the following suggestions:

Calm abiding meditation:
You may also wish to deepen your Sadhana by doing a few mins a day of simple breathe awareness meditation: Sit upright, set a timer for between 2-5 mins, close your eyes and observe your breathing. When your mind wanders just gently bring it back to the breath.

This Practice has sooo many benefits for the mind and nervous system

Hot water with Lemon:
You can end your session with a cup of hot water with some lemon squeezed in. It is a wonderful warming way to gently rehydrate and detoxify that has been used by yogis for millennia- if you have the time then you can read a few pages of an inspiring book, or just enjoy a quiet and mindful moment :)

Big love!

3 Tibetan Tools to Increase your happiness today...

Photo by Vicky Christell on Pixabay Tibetan Buddhism is an ancient tradition that has spanned the centuries helping its practitioners to overcome suffering, increase compassion and find true, lasting happiness within.   The Dalai Lama (world-renowned leader of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddism), has won hearts around the globe for his warmth, down- to- earth wisdom and gentle social and political activism. Today I would love to share a few techniques he mentions in his book- The Art of Happiness (co-written with psychologist Howard Cutler), as well as to share with you a form of yoga that is alleged to have originated in Tibet over 2500 years ago. 1. Re-train your brain for happiness... “A disciplined mind leads to happiness, and an undisciplined mind leads to suffering.” ― Dalai Lama XIV, The Art of Happiness In Buddism, it is common to reflect upon the causes of the good and bad circumstances in one's life and thus to take full responsibility for ones ow

Inviting More Lightness!

Hello lovely people,    It has been a while since I last published anything so I am very happy to be back in the game this Free Yoga Friday! Today I am happy to share a short crow pose sequence shot on the beach with the help of wonderful friend- Tim.   This week has got me thinking around a few questions and is bringing me many amazing insights :)  I've been reflecting upon how I prioritise my time... and observing that when I don't prioritise my time then other people and situations do this for me! You may wish to have a little reflection yourself!  Where is your time going at the moment? Did you decide this consciously or did it just happen this way?!  Is there anything that is a real priority for you, that you can re-dedicate yourself to?       I've also been reflecting on what exactly does one need to take seriously in ones life?       What happens if one chooses to take situations  a little more lightly and playfully? Things have been

Happy International Yoga Day! Discover 3 important ways that yoga can uplift you today…

Image by Pexels on Pixabay I first started yoga as a child. I remember the awkward, anxious feeling in my body as I climbed the stairs to the yoga studio. I sat at the back of a room full of ‘grown-ups’ wondering what on earth I had let myself in for. I left that same room an hour later feeling as though I was floating on a cloud. Yoga worked its magic on me that very first day and it has been a mainstay of my life ever since- through good times and bad, through health and injury, through times of celebration and deep inner work, yoga has always been there for me. It is my honour and great pleasure to be a yoga teacher. So today I would love to share with you a few of the things yoga has taught me that have brought me the most benefit in my life. 1. Your body (really is) your temple… You only get one vehicle to take you through life and it can be a source of great pleasure or great suffering. Look after your body with great food, yoga, walking, swimming and dance and there is
