Practicing Gratitude... Even in Challenging Times

Hello Beautiful People,
 How are you?

So... we head into another week of uncertainty.
Another week of working with limitations.... both internal and external.
Another week of breathing through our fears.

For me this week has felt a little more gentle, the more I am able to surrender to circumstances... the more I am able to work with what IS.

Amongst looking after house, dogs and baby, and many, many, many phone calls and messages with friends and family- I have carved out some time to be creative. I've been writing (a book- more on that much later!) and updating my yoga channel, cleaning things up, refreshing things, revisiting what I hope to say as a teacher; and playing with a better camera and mic (woo hoo!). There will be a higher quality of videos heading to you in the coming months and I'm pleased about this :)

It's very easy to bang the drum of positivity when all is going well, to stay dedicated to spirituality and self development when life is happy and fun. But I find these qualities of more use now then ever. Now is the time to lean into all the practices that serve you. Now is the time to look after your body, take time to meditate, practice self love, love for others and gratitude for all the things that are going well. Because even when times are terrible there is always something to be grateful for- Even if it is just your own perseverance and strength.

I invite you to join me for a gentle and relaxing yoga practice to cultivate gratitude. It was shot outside in the sunshine a few weeks ago- So I hope you enjoy this virtual vacation and can imagine the sun on your skin and the sand under your toes as you practice to the sound of the sea.  These things haven't gone anywhere- they are right there, waiting for when all of this blows over.

I hope this message finds you, mustering that inner strength and finding reasons to be grateful of all that life has offered you, is offering you right now; and will offer you in the future.... I am off to write a gratitude list- maybe you wish to join me?!

  Namaste,
  :) s

Enjoy it! Week 4 The Morning Ten 31 Day Yoga Challenge

How are you? Welcome to week 4 of The Morning Ten- your invitation to practice 31 days of yoga (including meditation and mantras)... even if that simply means practising for just 10 minutes a day :)  This week the invitation is to enjoy it! Enjoy the practices, enjoy  the amazing body that enables you to live your life,  and enjoy the present moment and all the experiences that can be found right here, right now.   A few questions to reflect upon are: What do you enjoy? What gives you pleasure? What gives you lasting happiness? Is there anything you can incorporate more of (or less of) in your life to increase your sense of enjoyment? For me I'm very much enjoying stealing moments away from my little one to work, play, meditate and practice yoga! I'm also practicing really enjoying many of the common things that I can do without thinking- feeding the baby, taking a shower, walking the dogs... it is lovely to remember to squeeze all the juice out of the simple things :)  See b

The Yoga with Sacha Family is Growing!

The Yoga with Sacha Family is Growing! We’ve all had a crazy few years haven’t we?! This year looks set to be a year like no other for my little tribe as we have just welcomed the arrival of gorgeous little  Angelina Ananda Heath  born on January 22nd after a lightning fast 4 1/2 hour labour (phew!!). She was born into a water pool, on Corfu, in a cottage surrounded by loving friends. Rafael has been a dream big brother and we are all soo blissfully happy with her arrival. (As you may have noticed by my much-reduced amount of content I was pretty floored by both my pregnancies.... for quite a few months I was staggering around like a zombie! I am already feeling much better now- and one look at Angelina and Rafael and I know it was all worth it :) The growth of our family means big (hopefully temporary) changes to the way we will run things this year. I hope to get back to recording more yoga and mantras and livestreams for yoga with Sacha after a few months quiet time in my baby bub

Yoga, Mantras and Meditation for Unsettling Times

Photo by  Sunnymondal  on Pixabay How are you? ….No really- How are you? There is no question that these last few weeks have been unsettling. Everybody is being affected by the impact of Corona, and the measures that are being taken to control it. Many people are afraid, many people are deeply stressed. My heart goes out to every single person affected by this (including myself!), and in my heart, I feel deep surrender that everything- even this is part of the flow. When seen through the lens of self-development, everything is a potential opportunity. The past weeks have been an opportunity to surrender, to trust Life, and to define who each of us wants to be in relation to all the things happening around us. Quick self-reflection practice: Do you want to be kind or Do you want to be selfish? Do you want to be afraid or do I want to trust? How can you be of most service? And how can you learn to let go of fear about the things that you cannot control? “If you can solve t
